Foods taken in their right proportions and portions are necessary for good health.
However, there are certain foods that have superior nutritional benefits over others for targeted use in the human body. The following is a snap shot of the same:
Foods that are rich in boosting body immunity
citrus fruits e.g. oranges, lemons, lime, tangerines. Also
garlic, ginger, brocolli, yoghurt, almonds, turmeric, green tea, papaya/pawpaw, kiwi, poultry e.g. chicken, turkey, sunflower seeds.
Foods that enhance sexual appetite/performance/aphrodisiacs
Chilli peppers known in East Africa as pilipili, avocado, dark brown chocolate, bananas, honey, coffee, watermelon this is particularly a booster for men who suffer erectile dysfunction that is cannot sustain or get an erection, olive oil, figs, strawberries, cherries, pumpkin seeds, whipped cream.
Foods that are good for the brain e.g. memory booster, slowing down degenerative diseases of the brain
Fish, nuts and seeds, avocados, blueberries, freshly brewed tea, dark chocolate.
Foods that are good for the heart
Fish, liver, walnuts, almonds, chia seeds, oatmeal, blueberries, raisins, brocolli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, coffee, red wine, green tea, soya milk, dark chocolate.
Fruits that are good for liver and kidney health
water melon, cranberries, lemon, apples, red grapes.
