Work hard, rest hard: Vacation Ideas

Vacations are an important aspect of human wellness, this past week I was musing on different reasons why people need to go on vacation;

  1. Stress and burn out.
  2. Investing in ones health. Long periods of work without a break lead to irritability, poor decision making, poor relationships, poor communication and ill health.
  3. Investing in a vacation expands your horizons; as you travel to new places, gain new experiences, you create memories and meet new and extraordinary people that may add to your personal or professional life.
  4. Vacations are a form of unstructured education with the new perspectives gained while on vacation.
  5. Vacations offer a time to build relationships and family bonds.

Finally anticipating a vacation gives someone something to look forward to as they go through their day to day hustle.
