Ask yourself – What am I learning from this experience? From my corona virus experience I am learning to accept the things that I cannot change and look at the silver lining in every cloud. For example the fact that my son is not going to physical school means I get to spend more bonding time with him in a place that I have fondly come to refer to as Quarantine Group of Schools. I have also made new online connections during this season and for that I am grateful.

Enjoy the sights, sounds and touch of nature. As we soak in the beauty of nature our spirits receive healing from the anxiety caused by adverse circumstances. So go on enjoy the sunset, admire the flowers in bloom, watch the gushing torrents of a river, listen as the rain drops, be in touch with nature.

Remember that you are not your difficult circumstances. Good and bad things happen to everyone all the time but the inner person, that which defines you never changes. For that reason I am not corona virus positive or negative, I am not a happy or a failed relationship, I am not the loss of loved ones or the birth of a new born baby, I am not a fat account neither am I an overdrawn bank account, I am not my present circumstances – I am Kwambie Nyambane and that is enough, I am complete as a human being.

Enjoy the moment, be in the present. Do not dwell in the past or over think the future. Sing, dance, listen to good music, pray, meditate, read a good book, make sweet love with your partner, crotchet, knit, try out a new recipe, write, work on your book, your blog, go to the shamba, call someone you hold dear, work from home. I don’t know – what is that which you enjoy doing when in default settings? Waste no further time do it right now. Today we are alive for us to enjoy and that is truly what matters the most.

This brings an end to the focus area “Be still, in the quiet, in the still.” Our focus area for the month of April 2020.

As a blog we wish you peace, calm and health of body and mind in this global pandemic.

Stay here with us in May for another exhilarating and inspirational area, “Living a life of no regrets.
